Dobbeltfadlagring - a beautiful match between Bourbon- and PX casks

The different cask types in our warehouse each leave their distinct mark. When we blend a whisky from multiple casks, the aromas meet and form an entirely new flavour profile.

In this whisky, the bourbon cask plays the leading role, delivering notes of vanilla, yellow fruit, honey, and a gentle spiciness of pepper. But the PX sherry cask contributes a creamy mouthfeel, deeper sweetness, and hints of pastry – helping to highlight the whisky’s nutty aromas.

Certified organic

This whisky is created by 100% organic grain Cultivated on ours farm Gyrup. Boats farm and the distillery is certified organic to ensure clean drinking water and good animal welfare.

Vienna Malt

The Vienna malt we produce is a balanced malt – neither too light nor too dark. It adds more body and depth than classic pale malt, but without the heavy sweetness and roasted character of darker speciality malts like caramel malt. Instead, it brings a warm, mellow sweetness and an elegant complexity to the whisky.

In this whisky, the Vienna malt delivers a rounded and gently spiced new make with notes of baked fruits and crisp biscuits. You’ll also find a subtle nutty aroma of hazelnut and marzipan, balanced by a hint of freshly ground pepper.
