The old Danish imperial barley

We have, together with skilled breeders, have brought back to life after 100 years of hibernation in the Nordic Genbank. The variety tastes amazing and gives a very oiled distillate filled with flavorful esters to our whisky. 2022-harvest of imperial has given a fruity and light acidic distillate with notes of orange-citrus, 'Earthy' immature pear, dusty grain and malt sweetness.

We have before bottled whisky made on this one barley. Blue. Thy Whisky NO 3 - KRAKE CRACMER, who was rated 93.5/100 in Jim Murray's whiskey bible.

Stored on bourbon barrels

IMPERIAL BUILDING WE FILL AT A PAIR'S FIRST FILL 'BOURBON casks of 120 liters. We expect the dishes over 5 years to give lots of vanilla and light honey sweetness balanced by a little tannins from the oak. The sweetness of the dish and the complexity of the distillate we expect to give one partly classic bourbon cask aged whisky, But with a very characterful mark from the Imperial Building.
