This intense sherry cask aged whisky is based on our unique caramel malt recipe, crafted in our own malthouse. The combination of caramel malts, PX and old oloroso sherry casks  results in an unusually rich dram with a strong malty statement.

A whisky with caramel malt is completely unlike anyone else

This intense sherry-cask-aged whisky is based on our unique caramel malt recipe, crafted in our own malt house. The combination of caramel malts, PX, and aged Oloroso sherry casks results in an exceptionally rich dram with a pronounced malt profile.

The deep sweetness, robust cask profile, and intense burnt caramel notes almost evoke the qualities of a well-aged rum, yet it retains the unique complexity and elegant balance characteristic of whisky.

Certified organic

This whisky is made from 100% organic grain cultivated on our farm Gyrup. Both the farm and the distillery are certified organic to ensure clean drinking water and good animal welfare.

Caramel malt

When we malt 'cara' malt, we convert the grain's starch into sugars, which are then roasted. The result is intense, burnt, and caramel-sweet notes that fill the entire distillery with aroma when the drums are opened.

Caramel malts are less efficient, producing less alcohol than lighter, more effective malts, but in return, they create flavors unlike any other whisky.

The dark caramel malts used in this whisky provide an intensely sweet new make with strong aromas of burnt caramel, cocoa powder, espresso, and herbs—with hints of black tea in this whisky.
