BECOME PART OF OUR TASTING PANEL
Everyone can become part of our tasting panel, and help to shape the direction of Thy Whisky for the next many years.
The first time we will evaluate some of our previous releases.
What worked then? What can we do differently in the future? As a participant you will receive four samples of whisky.
There are 40 seats this first time. We will select participants broadly from all applications.
If you're not lucky enough to get in this time, you'll get another chance next time. It's free to enter, but if you're unable to collect your samples, we'll ask you to pay the postage to send them.
No special qualifications or expertises are required.
In order for us to select a panel as broadly represented as possible you need to answer a few questions, when you apply.
All meetings take place online in Danish and English.
We select the panel broadly from all applications. If you're not lucky enough to make it this time, you'll get another chance next time.
Yes, the samples used for tasting and evaluation are free.
You can come by our shop and pick up your samples. If you would like us to send the whisky to you, we will ask you to pay the delivery costs.
You must apply for a seat by 20 February 2023.
We'll send an email to 40 lucky tasting panelists shortly after the application deadline. If you're not selected, you'll have another chance next time the tasting panel meets.
We need your opinion, your knowledge and your taste buds. That's why the tasting panel will be a conversation. That's why we need to be a fairly tight-knit group.
Geography is no obstacle. All you need to join is internet access - all meetings are digital.
Honestly. We don't know. But probably at least 3-4 times in the next year or so.
Always on the way.
- In 2010 we filled the first two casks.
- In 2019 we opened our new Single Estate Whisky distillery.
- In 2024-2025 we sense another new beginning for Thy Whisky.
Our increased production since 2019 means that a time come, where Thy Whisky is bottled in slightly larger quantities, and where we can reach out more widely in Denmark and the rest of the world.
We look forward to that. But it must not be rushed. We still have a few years to go before we can really bottle the new, larger vintages.
The tasting panel will help us on this road.
