Thijs aka Words of Whisky (NL)

We’re excited to welcome Thijs Klaverstijn – better known as the voice behind Words of Whisky – to Thy Whisky Festival!

Thijs is a Dutch whisky writer and journalist who has been sharing his passion through Words of Whisky since 2013. With a background in journalism and a strong focus on independence and honest opinions, he has built a respected platform featuring reviews, interviews, and distillery stories from across the whisky world. ()

Over the years, he has written for major whisky publications, visited distilleries around the world, and become a trusted voice in the international whisky scene.

At the festival, Thijs will host the tasting “US vs. EU – Battle of the Rye,” where he’ll explore and compare rye whiskies from both sides of the Atlantic.
